Dr. Lively is a Professor and Department Chair of the Teacher Education Program at Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan. Her areas of expertise include early childhood and special education. She received her undergraduate degree in Deaf- Blind Education at Michigan State University (MSU). She later earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Classroom Teaching with additional hours in Educational Administration and Deaf Education. She subsequently received a Ph.D. in Special Education with a cognate in Educational Administration from MSU. Before becoming employed by Saginaw Valley State University, Dr. Lively spent 29 years in public education.
