Dr. Elaine Wittenberg is a Professor of Communication at California State University, Los Angeles. She has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed articles on health communication, nurse communication, and family caregiving and is an internationally recognized researcher and speaker on palliative care communication. She is co-founder of the COMFORT Communication Project, a national health communication training program funded by the National Cancer Institute and Archstone Foundation.
LoraLynn Allen is the Simulation and Clinical Coordinator for Utah State University Department of Nursing in Logan, Utah. She is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator and has been teaching in simulation-based modalities since 2013. She has been actively involved in the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) for several years in development of resources for simulation educators as a co-author and content expert. LoraLynn has been a Registered Nurse for 9 years with experience in Medical/Surgical, Post-Operative, Emergency, and Neonatal Intensive Care units, and is currently practicing as a RN at Logan Regional Hospital.
