Using GoReact for Nursing Education: SBAR Group Discussions

Hi, my name is Patrick Luna. I’m a Nursing Instructor with the University of Colorado College of Nursing. Today, I’m going to be showing you how I use GoReact for an SBAR group assignment.

So I use GoReact within a didactic assignment for an SBAR group discussion. So what this does is it allows me to give the students feedback on their SBAR and their technique, which we all know is essential, especially when they start on their clinical rotations. So using this unique mechanism within GoReact, the students can meet at a designated time and go over a prompt that I give them for this SBAR assignment. And then they can discuss it and within the software, they can actually record it.

So this allows them to interact and then when they turn it in, I can give them feedback using the feedback mechanism here. So within the LMS system and GoReact’s integration with the LMS, there’s this rubric that I watch as they are going, as I’m watching their video, and I grade it, it will connect directly to their grade book. So not only is this convenient for the students and gives them a space for them to interact and record, but it’s also convenient for faculty.
