Using GoReact for Nursing Skills Checks: Sterile Technique

Hi, my name is Dena Clements and I am a nursing instructor at Campbellsville University School of Nursing. And today I’m going to show you how to do a sterile skill check off in GoReact.

When reviewing a sterile skill check off on GoReact, I’m able to click right into the assignment. I can see my students’ submissions and from here–

I love how GoReact has a rubric involved, that I can customize this to my own set criteria and check off the student as I watched the video.

Another great feature about GoReact is that my students are able to access these assignments right from my LMS course page. And as I grade the assignment, the grade goes right–

straight to my grade book.

A few other things that I love about GoReact is it is saving time with my clinical faculty.

They are able to grade these assignments back-to-back without having to wait for students to come in for their scheduled times on check offs. This is also very objective. So when the faculty are watching these skills, they’re no longer having to guess did they break sterile technique. They can see it right there in the video. They can rewind, they can fast-forward, and it’s right there for them. These videos are also private. I love how God react is protecting my students’ videos and their submissions by making it FERPA approved.
