Sarai Maldanado:

I always like to start with one of our primary goals as career counselors is to help our students apply theory into practice and how do they go about doing that is through experiential learning experiences, but for them to get those opportunities, they still have to go through interviews and prepare themselves for those opportunities. And what we have found is that one of the core competencies that we want our students to be agile with is technology. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, one of their core competencies they found in the research that our students need to meet the workforce needs is technology, and how to leverage technology.

And looking at GoReact is one of those tools that helps our students how to conduct their mock interviews and be able to see and hear themselves, not just how they’re doing, but also the feedback that they’re receiving immediately so that they can make immediate adjustments in order for them to land that potential career, internship and or job. And that’s what we do here at the career center. And again, GoReact is one of those tools that we are starting to utilize to help our students advance in their career pathways.
