Dr. Patricia Heydet Kirsch has served the education discipline as a teacher, administrator, and researcher. Her career as a high school science teacher earned the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) and National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) certification. Her higher education experiences include positions as Assistant Dean for Accreditation, Assessment and Analytics and as Director of Assessment, Accreditation and Clinical Practice. Patty is passionate about actionable data and strives to engage faculty in discussions to not only assure candidate success but to inform program design. Working with multiple layers of assessment needs, she acknowledges the impact of online tools in program delivery.
Dr. Facundo received her School Psychology training from California State University, Sacramento where she also earned a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis and American Sign Language. She obtained a doctorate from City University, Seattle where she studied Applied Leadership with an emphasis in Adult Education and Online Learning. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, a Licensed Educational Psychologist, and has worked in the educational field since 1995. Dr. Facundo has worked in rural, inner-city, and suburban school systems, preschool through 18-22 year old programs, continuation high school, public school, charter schools, home study programs, nonpublic school settings, and residential school settings. She has also worked as a Program Specialist and a Director of Student Support Services and a Director of Special Education. Dr. Facundo is the regional faculty lead for Rancho Cordova. She has worked at National University since 2010.
Brian Arnold is the department chair for Global Innovation, Social Emotional Learning, and Educational Technology. He earned his PhD in Educational Technology and Educational Psychology from Michigan State University. Brian spent the first half of his career focused on media arts (film, games, design) and later teaching / administration in those disciplines. Early career highlights include working as an editor for Nickelodeon Animation Studios in the late 90s on shows like SpongeBob SquarePants. His current research interests include OpenAI, the metaverse, media, motivation, and play.
At GoReact, Pete Morgan manages partnerships and relationships with large, enterprise customers, helping them to achieve greater success through scalable learning activities, streamlined access, and custom interoperability.
